Serving at McConnellsburg UMC

We are a loving group of people who don't want to just keep the gospel to ourselves but want to share it with the world. We are blessed to have opportunities by serving those in our community through various ministries.

McConnellsburg UMC Children's Ministry

We have volunteers who minister to our PreK - 5th graders before worship services (during Sunday School) through singing, telling stories and teaching the truth of God's Word with the children. They lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers.

We're always looking for great individuals to love and serve our kids and help show the love of Christ to them during our gatherings. If you're someone who would like to serve, or just know a little bit more about our Children's Ministry, please connect with us.

Jr. High/High School Ministry

We have volunteers who help minister to those in Jr and Sr High School each Sunday morning before worship (during Sunday School). The learn the scriptures and have deeper discussions than those in the lower classrooms.

Youth Group: There is also a local youth group that gathers "522 Youth" every other Sunday. It's a time to have some fun, fellowship and Jesus together with youth from the community. If you'd like more information about that, please contact us.

McConnellsburg UMC Gatherings

Sunday Gatherings: Our Sunday morning gatherings are the beginning for most people at McConnellsburg UMC. We have, and are in need of, people who can serve greeters, as well as members willing to help within service.

Generosity

Donating your time is not the only way to serve at McConnellsburg UMC. There are recurring costs to operating and staffing our ministry, as well as helping us do work throughout our community and the world. We believe that God calls us to give, and to give generously. We give you a chance to worship in this way on our website.

Discipleship

As Jesus left this world, his parting words to his disciples were: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." There is always room at the Table for YOU at McConnellsburg UMC. We are working on a discipleship plan within our church and cannot wait to share it with you!
